BIG PHARMA STRIKES AGAIN: NATURAL CURE FOR "LOOSE VAGENES" BLASTED

Whenever a cheap, natural, and readily available cure for one of our many human ailments catches on, you can sure Big Pharma won't be far behind with alarmist medical reports and scare stories to drive people back onto the medical plantation to be milked of their money for a range of over-priced and often ineffective treatments.

The latest example is women using ground-up wasp nests to tighten and rejuvenate their vaginas. They are now being told by shills for Big Pharma that this is now harmful, with accompanying scare stories in the media:
"Women are being warned against trying a bizarre new trend that suggests using ground-up wasp nests to tighten and rejuvenate their vaginas. Some online retailers have been selling oak galls, which are nests that house wasp eggs before they hatch, and touting them as a natural way of cleaning female genitals.

The product reportedly is crushed into a paste and applied topically, with one listing on Etsy, which has now been removed, claiming it can improve a woman’s sex life.

They are also being advertised as helping to "heal episiotomy cuts, rejuvenate the uterine wall and clean out the vagina" after childbirth, though there are warnings that it can "burn" when applied.

Now, gynecologist Jen Gunter is warning women not to get sucked in by the new trend after branding it “dangerous” — saying the practice is using “drying agents” to tighten the vagina.

Writing on her blog, she said: “Drying the vaginal mucosa increases the risk of abrasions during sex (not good) and destroys the protective mucous layer (not good).”
Gunter was also prominent in the campaign last year against Herbal Womb Detox Pearls, a natural method of combating endometriosis, ovarian cysts, thrush and fibroids by inserting bags of perfumed herbs into the vagina for 72 hours.
"Leaving a product that is not designed for prolonged vaginal use (and these are not) in the vagina is a risk for toxic shock syndrome. Just don’t do it," she shrieked at the time.
Whether wasp nests or Herbal Womb Detox Pearls actually work or not can only be determined by objective tests. But if those tests are carried out by Big Pharma, then results may not be as unbiased as one would hope. Looking after the "lady garden" is now a global, multi-billion dollar business, with various high priced treatments available from drugs to surgery. That is one piece of the pie that Big Pharma are going to do their best to keep on their plate.
