SADIQ KHAN LOSES SUPPORT OF THE WORKING CLASS, KEEPS THAT OF SIGNALLY SWPLS

Against a backdrop of cheery stabbings, life-transforming acid attacks, terrorist incidents, and near-terrorist incidents, London's Muslim mayor Sadiq Khan has been losing support according to a recent opinion poll, taken to gauge his support at the half-term point of his mayorship.

The poll shows that compared to last year, when Khan enjoyed a 3 to 1 positive-over-negative rating (61% thought he was doing well, compared to 20% taking the opposite view), his negative vote (30%) is now catching up with his positive vote (52%). 

What makes this surprising is that the rating of London's mayor is only indirectly linked to how well or badly he actually does, as Khan's support comes mainly from identity groups, like non-Whites and Muslim, who vote for him purely because he is non-White and Muslim, or from White people using their support for Khan to "signal" how "non-racist" and "progressive" they are. 

In fact, for the second group, the worse Khan does the more likely they are to vote for him as they can then construe criticism of Khan as "racism" that they "by no means share" -- thus enhancing Khan's signalling power.

This means that the group of voters who actually judge Khan on his merits as a functioning mayor is extremely small. But it seems that it is exactly this group that has turned against him.

Not surprisingly this includes a large part of the working class, defined in surveys as the C2DE social class. Typically thought of as natural Labour voters, this group now has a 42 to 37 approval/disapproval rating of the Labour Party mayor. 

Among the more "signally," well-off ABC1 demographic, however, Khan's support remains strong, with a 59 to 27 approval rating, showing just how cucked and PC London's middle and upper classes are. 

This is despite the fact that Khan's (mis)administration has seen London overtake New York as a violent global "crime capital."

Needless to say, this demographic also happen to live in better-policed neighbourhoods with less acid attacks, stabbings, and muggings.

63% of those surveyed think crime in general has gotten worse over the past year, while 79% think knife crime is worse. Incredibly 3% fo those questioned think it has gotten better!!! 

Either these people misunderstood the question or they are the actual people doing the stabbing, which they thus see in a positive light.
