SCHOOLS PROVE TO BE USELESS DEATH TRAPS ONCE AGAIN

Dimitrios Pagourtzis
The original purpose of schools -- education -- has long been obsolete. Any semi-intelligent person can now educate himself much faster just by reading the right books or researching stuff on the internet.

In fact, going to school now is much more likely to slow down your education than accelerate it.

So why do we still have these obsolete institutions called "schools"? The main reasons seem to be to stop kids fapping in their rooms all day and to give hysterical cat ladies fake jobs as "teachers."

But even the worth of these two minor functions must be in doubt again after yet another school shooting in America, this time in Santa Fe, Texas:
Ten people have been killed and 10 others injured after a student opened fire at a Texas high school, the state governor said. The attacker, who was arrested and charged with murder, was identified as Dimitrios Pagourtzis, a 17-year-old pupil at Santa Fe High School.

He allegedly used a shotgun and a revolver taken from his father, who legally owned the weapons. Most of the dead are students, police said.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott said "various kinds of explosive devices" had been found at the school, 40 miles (65km) south of Houston, and off-campus. They included "a CO2 device" and "a Molotov cocktail", he said.

Mr Abbott said police found information on the suspect's diary, computer, and mobile phone suggesting that he planned the attack and intended to kill himself afterwards. The governor said the teenager "gave himself up" because "he didn't have the courage to commit the suicide".
The problem here is quite obvious -- schools are effectively death traps, because they gather together a large number of "soft targets" -- kids, teenagers, and cat ladies -- in one place, presenting psychotic killers with a "target rich" environment.  This simply wouldn't exist if schools were finally abolished as they deserve to be.

Sometimes they can't even stop the fapping.
Another problem is that schools not only provide killers with soft targets, but also create killers.

By forcing lots of kids to spend a large part of each day together in each other's company, schools inevitably breed hatreds and grudges that simply wouldn't exist if kids were allowed to exercise free association, or to stay in their rooms all day self-educating or fapping.

The killer in this case is a perfect example of this, reacting negatively to the school environment by wearing black clothes, a trench coat, and a variety of edgy pins (Satanist, Communist, Nazi, etc.). He had also been "picked on," something that wouldn't have happened if he had been allowed to fap all day or study shit on the internet:
"Student Dustin Severin told KPRC-TV that he saw the teen in the hall before the shooting wearing his usual outfit of black boots and a trench coat. He said the suspect had been picked on by school coaches "for smelling bad", and had mostly kept to himself."
Predictably, after one of these shootings we can expect to hear the usual shrill and monotonous calls to ban guns. But it is clear that what should be banned here are not guns but schools.

Guns will always be with us, as criminals will always find a way to arm themselves. But hopefully these ex-educational centres, which bring together lots of soft targets and breed killers, won't be.
