WTF is Andrew Yang up to? At a recent party to celebrate the opening of a campaign office in Manchester, New Hampshire, the Democratic Presidential Primary candidate got a can of cream out, and, holding it at hip level, squirted cream deep into the mouths of ecstatic kneeling fanboys.

The fact that this looked like some kind of weird scene from a gay bukakke movie was not lost on Yang's handler who soon attempted some damage limitation.

But it was too late. A journalist filmed it and now it is on Twitter.

Is Yang trying to dogwhistle the all-important gay vote by doing this? Is he trying to signal that he is more "gay friendly" than openly gay candidate Pete Buttigieg who has been rising in the polls recently? 

Or does this just testify to how demeaned and low-grade American culture really is, where gay tropes are unthinkingly acted out simply because they saturate society?
