EPSTEIN GUARD TRIAL SHEDS LIGHT ON EASY LIFE OF FEDERAL EMPLOYEES

More interested in internet shopping than dead billionaires.
While the case of Jeffrey Epstein and who killed him is still interesting, even more fascinating is the light his case is shedding on the leisurely life of Federal employees, whom overworked tax-payers already suspect of living a life of ease and indolence on their hard-earned dollars.

So far, two low-ranking federal Bureau of Prisons employees have been selected to serve as fall guys for the extremely shit security around Epstein. We are sure it goes much higher up the chain.

The accused are on trial for falsifying work records so that they could goof off, instead of doing their piss easy jobs, which, as far as I can see, just involved a little light walking and the occasional checking of prisoners between long bouts of sitting on their arses -- all for a big, juicy Federal paycheck and other benefits.

As reported by the Daily Mail:

Two correctional officers who were responsible for guarding Jeffrey Epstein on the night he hanged himself were allegedly shopping online for furniture and napping instead of checking on the millionaire pedophile in his jail cell 15 feet away from them.

Tova Noel, 31, and Michael Thomas, 41, pleaded not guilty to charges of falsifying records and conspiracy in relation to Epstein's death in a Manhattan court on Tuesday afternoon [Nov. 19].

According to an indictment, Noel and Thomas were falling asleep and surfing the internet instead of performing mandatory checks on Epstein's cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center on August 10, the night he killed himself.

After they discovered the high-profile inmate dead, the officers allegedly told a supervisor they had 'messed up' and 'didn't do any checks' in the hours before he killed himself.

Napping and shopping online? I'm surprised they didn't go for a round of golf or get their nails done, as there was nothing to stop them.

Also this is laughably being presented as an uncharacteristic cock-up, instead of how these institutions normally run. What happened on the night of August 10th happens pretty much every night in almost any Federal institution that happens to be staffed overwhelmingly with non-White and female "affirmative action" hirelings, like this one in New York.

Am I wrong? If so, why are their colleagues rallying around them -- literally -- instead of blaming them for letting the side down?

Noel and Thomas, who had both self-surrendered to the FBI earlier on Tuesday, were supported by about a dozen correctional officers in the courtroom.

The two officers were each released on $100,000 bond and ordered to surrender their firearms and travel documents. In an orchestrated plan, their fellow officers formed a protective blockade to help shield them from photographers as they were released and left the court.

Around a dozen corrections officers who turned up in support of their two colleagues formed a protective blockade around the accused and covered their heads while shepherding them into waiting cars.

What exactly didn't they want us to see about these lazy, feckless, freeloaders who are so typical of Federal workers? I guess we'll never know.
