Cultural appropriation or something worse? 

American Dissident Right politics has now officially jumped the shark, after it was revealed that the National Socialist Movement (NSM), America's main Neo-Nazi group and one of the chief participants in the Charlottesville march, has been taken over -- lock, stock, and barrel -- by a Black Civil Rights advocate. 

As gloatingly reported by the Southern Poverty Law Centre:

The antisemitic and neo-Nazi group the National Socialist Movement (NSM) is now under the control of a black civil rights advocate from California who once dissolved a notorious Ku Klux Klan chapter in Mississippi.

Incorporation papers filed in Michigan and legal documents in a federal court case list 54-year-old James Hart Stern of Moreno Valley, California, as “President/Director” of NSM.

Stern was formerly incarcerated, spending five years in a Mississippi prison, but he now runs Racial Reconciliation Outreach Ministries, a group that aims to spur conversations across racial lines.

A court filing made Friday morning in a civil lawsuit against racist groups that took part in the violent “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, lists Stern as the representative of NSM as of Feb. 15, 2019.

NSM members did "nazi" this coming.

The NSM is the group that Matthew Heimbach temporarily joined and unjoined a few months ago, so there has clearly been a lot of turbulence among its membership recently. 

Also, the movement has no doubt been badly affected by the Charlottesville lawsuits that the Alt-Right and its leaders have completely failed to mount a legal defence against. Jason Kessler addresses this point in this video:

Essentially this looks like a case of people simply jumping ship and signing the movement over to anybody who will take it -- along with probable future legal costs. 

These NSM guys just learned the hard way that dressing up as Nazis and reducing White Nationalism to a pariah was a pretty stupid and counter-productive thing to do. Now, if they want to do that kind of retarded Stormerist coplay, they'll have to rent a room or keep it in the basement. 

Stern, the guy now officially in charge of the NSM has a track record doing this kind take-over. A couple of years ago he made the news, when he took over a Klan organisation from its Grand Wizard and dissolved it.  

Stern met former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard Edgar Ray Killen while serving time for wire fraud.

Killen, who died at the age of 92 in January 2018, had been serving a 60-year-sentence for his role in the June 21, 1964, deaths of civil rights workers James Chaney, Andrew Goodman and Michael Schwerner near Philadelphia, Mississippi, in Neshoba County.

Their killings prompted a major FBI search and, eventually, the movie “Mississippi Burning.”

Stern shared a cell with Killen from August 2010 to November 2011.

Killen signed over power of attorney to Stern, who used it in 2016 to dissolve the Klan organization Killen once belonged to.

Stern: We wuz Nazis and Klan and shiiiiet.

What's next for Stern? Maybe he'll take over from Greg Johnson at Counter-Currents or replace Richard Spencer as Twinkie-in-Chief at NPI. 

That would not only be a change of race, but also one of sexual orientation.
