AUSTRIA SET TO MOVE RIGHT AT THIS WEEKEND'S ELECTION
Is it safe? It will be if the Freedom Party of Austria do well. |
With elections this Sunday, Austria looks set to join the general European trend by moving to the right, and there could even be a place in government for a party led by a so-called "Neo-Nazi" dental technician.
At the last election in 2013 -- before the migrant crisis broke -- the Centre-Left Social Democratic Party (SDP) was the largest party, and entered into a so-called "grand coalition" government with their main opposition, the Centre-Right Austrian People's Party (APP). The more right-wing Freedom Party of Austria (FPA), which is normally described as a right-wing populist nationalist party, was left on the sidelines.
The latest opinion poll, however, show the SDP trailing behind not only the APP but also the Freedom Party of Austria (FPA). In 2013 the three main parties scored as follows:
SDP 29% (lefties)
APP 26% (cucks)
FPA 18% (the good guys)
Others 27% (confused)
The latest opinion polls now has them as follows:
APP 33% (cucks)
FPA 27% (the good guys)
SDP 23% (lefties)
Others 17% (confused)
As Austria uses a proportional representation system, these numbers should translate into similar numbers in parliament. As you can see, this will make it possible for the APP and SDP to continue their "grand coalition," with the APP becoming the senior party. But either party could also enter into coalition with the FPA, something that neither of them have ruled out, even though the FPA is routinely presented by the Leftist media as a direct successor of the Nazi Party.
In 2000, when the FPA entered a coalition with the APP, the European Union basically lost its shit and imposed sanctions on Austria. This, combined with other pressures, led to a split in the FPA and the ending of the coalition in 2005.
Since then the party has been rebuilding and growing under Heinz-Christian Strache, routinely described by hysterical Leftist-dominated media as a "Neo-Nazi." Adding to the scary vibe, he was even a dental technician before going into politics, LOL. But the reality is that a good result for the FPA will do much to make Austria a safer country.
If it enters government, the Party will deny migrants access to welfare payments, introduce Swiss-style referendums, and apply for Austria to join the Visegrád group of conservative central European states, whose borders overlap with the 19th-century Austro-Hungarian empire.
In many ways this would be a virtual revival of the Hapsburg Empire, helping to undo over a century of violent and destructive European history. Yes, a few fillings and careful dentistry may be in order after all.
