ONLY TWO COUNTRIES HAVE NO COVID RESTRICTIONS FOR TRAVELLERS
"Don't like it? Build you're own international travel system, bro"
The gold standard in Covid freedom is not whether a country lifts internal restrictions or not, it is their attitude to international travel.
If you want stress-free international travel, it looks like you only have two options at the moment -- Mexico and El Salvador. Yes, these are the only two countries that don't require any of the items on the shitlist of international travel:
- Tests before arrival
- Tests upon arrival
- No countries banned due to covid-19
- No quarantine periods
- No vaccine requirements
Mexico has been a bastion of traveller freedom throughout the pandemic, and El Salvador followed in November last year by scrapping its own restrictions.
Other countries that were once on the list have been removed for the following reasons :
- Maldives. Now requires a 96-hour negative PCR test
- Egypt. Now requires a 72-hour negative PCR test
- Kosovo. Now requires a 72-hour PCR test from most nations.
- Serbia. Now requires a 48-hour PCR test from all.
- Brazil. Now requires a 72-PCR test from all arrivals.
- Turkey. Now requires a 72-hour PCR test from all passengers.
- Haiti – Now requires a 72-hour PCR or antigen test from all passengers
- Montenegro – Now requires 72-hour PCR test for all (recovered or vaccinated also accepted)
