GENERAL MATTIS CONSIDERING SURRENDERING TO NORTH KOREA?

Wow! Defence Secretary James Mattis has been considering America's military options against North Korea, as mentioned by the Hill:

"The United States has military options for dealing with North Korea that wouldn't put South Korea’s capital of Seoul at risk, Defense Secretary James Mattis said Monday. 'Yes there are. But I will not go into details,' Mattis told reporters at the Pentagon. Mattis wouldn’t say any more about the military plans, but did confirm that he discussed with his South Korean counterpart the idea of introducing nuclear weapons to the Korean peninsula. He would not confirm if that was one of the options under consideration."

OK, enough of that crap. Now let's call bullshit on this. 

So, according to this little piece of macho, saber-rattling quote dripping, the US is i-m-p-l-y-i-n-g that it's ready to launch a preemptive nuclear strike on North Korea. LOL, sure the Chinese will go along with that. Won't happen.

But even if the Trump administration was literally Hitler -- or literally Truman, to be more accurate -- and were gung ho enough to nuke the fuck out of North Korea, that would also fuck up South Korea, making the bit about not putting Seoul at risk complete garbage.

At present North Korea has tens of thousands of artillery pieces trained on South Korea. To take them out would require a whole cluster of nuclear strikes. The only problem here is the radio active fallout would be an even worse problem than the actual artillery bombardment. 

Let's get this straight, a military solution that takes out Kim will definitely put Seoul not only at risk but in rubble. 

In fact the only military option that wouldn't do this is for America to surrender -- remember, that is also a "military option." That is probably what they are going to do, allowing Kim to keep his enormous weapons gains, while covering it up with some gimlet-eyed expressions from old war hag Mattis and some shitty tough guy soundbites that even Steven Segal would turn his nose up at.
