AFTER NEW YORK ATTACK TRUMP'S MUSLIM BAN WILL HAVE TO GET "TEN FEET HIGHER"
Luckily ISIS is not sending us their best. |
It looks like New York got really lucky after an ISIS-inspired terrorist injured himself instead of killing dozens of New Yorkers in an attempted pipe bomb attack.
As reported by CNN, who can occasionally be relied on for petty details:
"Investigators said the suspect had at least two devices...The device that detonated was a foot-long pipe that contained black powder, a battery, wiring, nails and screws. It was attached to [the terrorist] with Velcro and zip ties. Investigators did not elaborate on the second device, the source said."
The explosive chemical ignited in the pipe but the pipe itself did not explode, according to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
"Fortunately for us, the bomb partially detonated," he said. "He did detonate it, but it did not fully have the effect that he was hoping for."
The attacker who was arrested after injuring himself is Akayed Ullah, a 27-year-old Bangladeshi, angered by the conflict in Gaza that was prompted by Trump's recent recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
The attack shows two things: either America has to stop angering Muslims by supporting Israel, or else the Muslim ban has to be extended to a lot more countries and also backdated. Bangladesh is one many countries capable of producing Muslim terrorists which has not been included in the ban.
To paraphrase Trump's now hollow election campaign rhetoric about his promised border wall with Mexico: "The Muslim ban will now have to get 10 feet higher."
