Damn! All that rioting, looting, taking the knee, and young women shaving off their hair in support of #BlackLivesMatter has been in vain!
It seems that George Floyd, the supposedly innocent victim of "racist police brutality," was actually a victim of his own sick addictions and criminality, not to mention the Leftist hysteria over coronavirus that initially put the former night club bouncer out of a job.

As more details of the case emerge, including timelines, transcripts, and medical records, the picture that has now emerged is that Floyd was a heavy-smoking, alcoholic, multiple drug-taker, with serious health problems, and a brutal criminal record.
It also appears that he was no longer able to pay for his self-destructive habits by working as a nightclub bouncer because the City of Minneapolis had shut down his place of work in a typical Leftist overreaction to the coronavirus pandemic.
Because of the casual nature of his work, Floyd was probably also ineligible for financial support, forcing him to find other sources of income to maintain his unhealthy lifestyle of substance abuse. This apparently led to the incident where he died, following an attempt to pass off a forged banknote that was still wet.
A tapescript of the initial 911 call reveals that when the police arrived on the scene, they were looking for a large, drunk or drugged-up man in charge of a vehicle. This means that this was a LOT more serious than a mere case of someone passing off a bad note. A drug-addled drunk in charge of a vehicle is a killing machine.
Here is the key passage of the tapescript between the "poor English" shopkeeper and the 911 Operator:
Operator: How can I help you?
Caller: Um someone comes our store and give us fake bills and we realize it before he left the store, and we ran back outside, they was sitting on their car. We tell them to give us their phone, put their (inaudible) thing back and everything and he was also drunk and everything and return to give us our cigarettes back and so he can, so he can go home but he doesn't want to do that, and he's sitting on his car cause he is awfully drunk and he's not in control of himself.
Operator: Okay, what type of vehicle does he have?
Caller: And…. um he's got a vehicle that is ah…ah he got a vehicle that is ah…one second let me see if I can see the license. The driver license is BRJ02
Floyd was found by police sitting at the wheel of the car, with two other people, a man and a woman. He was removed from the car and handcuffed, but then refused to sit in the police car, claiming he was claustrophobic, even though he had just come from an actual car -- a clear case of lying.
The police had two main fears when they encountered the 6'6" "gentle giant," both of which were later confirmed by autopsy -- firstly, that he might suddenly turn violent under the influence of drugs (his body was shown to be awash with a cocktail of dangerous mood-altering drugs), and secondly that he might have an infection like AIDs or Coronavirus that he could purposely infect the officers with by spitting or biting.
This would be sufficient reason to place Floyd in the position shown in the now famous video of the incident -- lying on his stomach. Officer Chauvin's use of the knee has to be understood in this context, namely of preventing a large, dangerous, drugged-up, and clearly uncooperative arrestee from spinning round and biting or spitting at officers.
So, rather than Floyd being an innocent, cooperative member of the public violently targeted by evil "racist" officers it seems that he was:

The idea of racism is also absurd if we consider that one of the arresting officers was Oriental and one Black/mixed race; while Officer Chauvin is still married to an Oriental woman.
The notion that Floyd was choked to death has been disproved by the official autopsy, which said the cause of death was a heart attack. Drugs were clearly as much a factor in that as the actions of Officer Chauvin.
So what we have here is a case of another difficult and dangerous police stop that went wrong.
If you are critical of Officer Chauvin's use of force on this occasion, something that is understandable from the point of view of uninformed human sympathy, then you are probably in favour of the police in America taking a much more "softly softly" approach with Black criminals.
In fact, that is inescapable logic of such position.

You are entitled to take that view, of course, especially as it fits right in with the chorus from the mass media, corporate America, and our politicians. But then, you must also realise that the trade off in this case will be a "Ferguson Effect" on steroids.

Whatever you may think of it and however it looks in a decontextualised video, the knee of Officer Chauvin literally stands in the way of a tsunami of Black-on-Black violence.
However, the virtue-signalling political elite, from President Trump all the way down to Mayor Frey of Minneapolis, believe that Chauvin must be lynched and hung out to dry. It won't only be Officer Chauvin who suffers from this.
