AMERICAN "SITTING DUCK" BASE HIT IN IRAQ -- THREE KILLED BY MILITIA ROCKET STRIKE

Remember when the Iraqi Parliament voted for American bases in Iraq to be closed down and for foreign troops to go home? 

It didn't happen. This was despite Trump thinking it was a great idea when he was running for President. 

Well now this now happened:

US officials confirmed Wednesday that two American soldiers and one British national stationed at Iraq's Camp Taji were killed when more than 15 rockets landed on the base earlier in the day.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, two US officials told Reuters that about a dozen US-led coalition personnel had been injured as a result of the attack, which unfolded at roughly 7:52 p.m. local time. The base is located roughly 17 miles north of Baghdad.

Photos shared online by the Iraqi Security Media Cell show three undeployed missiles loaded onto a platform hitched onto the back of a small vehicle.

We are now in a stage of attrition. 

Iranian-backed militias are waging "asymmetrical warfare" against US bases, while an unfriendly local population cheers them on and covers up for them. The Americans can only respond by blowing up shit, which will just alienate them from the  local population even more.

The enemy have made the calculation that if they kill enough Americans, then the Americans will leave. This is a simple but effective strategy.

This situation can only end in one way -- in an abject pull out of US forces -- but how many lives will be lost in the process?
