ORBAN: "EU" HAVE TO PAY FOR MY WALL
Taking a leaf out of Trump's playbook, Hungarian Prime Minister, Viktor Orban, is thinking of sending the bill for the wall he constructed to stop migrants to the European Union.
The wall, which stretches along the the border with Serbia and Croatia, was built following a flood of migrants from the South, caused by German Chancellor Angela Merkel's stupid decision in 2015 to welcome "all Syrian migrants." In the event, this was just a green light for anyone from the Third World to turn up.
Because of this, the Hungarians were forced to spend €400 million, building an entirely new wall from scratch. This has greatly slowed down migrant flows to Europe and saved other European countries, including Germany, a fortune in policing, welfare, and other costs, not to mention fewer rapes.
At a press conference Orban’s chief of staff, Janos Lazar, said that the border fence with Serbia and Croatia "was protecting all the citizens of Europe from the flood of illegal migrants."
Germany and the EU are trying to put pressure on member countries, like Poland and Hungary, to share its self-inflicted refugee burden, but so far they have refused. Now it looks like Orban is hitting back by demanding other EU countries share the burden of paying for the wall.
"If we talk about European solidarity, then we must also discuss the protection of borders," Lazar said. "Solidarity must be applicable there, too. That burden must also be shared."
Hungary now has only 700 migrants because it keeps them in closely guarded camps on the Serbian border, an example to all of Europe on how to deal with this terrible existential crisis.
