SPLIT IN NATO AS GERMANY "BLOCKS" MILITARY FLIGHTS FROM U.K. TO UKRAINE

The most obvious and direct route between the UK and Ukraine is through Germany, so you would expect a flight from the UK bringing military supplies to the Ukraine to fly through German airspace.

However, recent air flight data (above) shows that British military aircraft bringing military supplies to the Ukraine have been forced to fly around Germany.

This comes following a massive build-up of Russian military forces along the border with the Ukraine that many analysts see as preparation for an invasion of the Ukraine.

Britain, it seems, is keen to show strong support for the Ukrainian government by flying in military equipment, such as anti tank weapons. However, fellow NATO member Germany is apparently taking a different approach. Not only is Germany not rushing in military support to assist the invasion-threatened Ukrainians, but they are even impeding other NATO countries which are trying to bolster Ukraine's defences.

This suggests that there is a major split among NATO members about the best way to deal with president Vladimir Putin's latest bit of Sabre rattling.
