Drag queen angrily confronts Gavin during legitimate protest |
A young, gay, conservative activist in Australia has apparently been driven to suicide after he became the target of online abuse from LGBTQ+ mobs following a protest against a "drag queen story hour" event at a library in Brisbane on Sunday (12th January).
Wilson Gavin, 21, was found dead at a railway station on Monday morning (13th January).
Despite or possibly because he was gay, Gavin was dedicated to conservative causes, such as supporting the British monarchy and opposing same-sex marriage.
On Sunday night, Gavin led members of the University of Queensland’s Liberal National Club [in Australia the Liberal National Party is equivalent to the Republican Party in the USA] to confront various drag queens at a library event involving children. The protesters chanted “Drag queens are not for kids,” and then posted footage on social media.
What followed was the usual abusive Twitter and Facebook mobs that appear whenever anyone in the West tries to oppose gay or transgender supremacism. In this case the abuse appears to have been a factor in Gavin's suicide.
Gavin had long been a target of extreme Leftist and LGBTQ+ abuse directed through social media, which, of course, seldom censors hatred, abuse, or even death threats if it comes from such "woke" groups.
As reported by The Australian:
A student activist with a high profile in pushing conservative views, [Gavin] was forthright in his opposition to same-sex marriage in 2017, giving interviews in the national media and organising protests backing a No vote in the plebiscite held to decide the issue.
His role in that campaign attracted vociferous criticism, but he insisted there were thousands of gay people like himself who opposed same-sex marriage.
‘They hate me because I’m a conservative, and they hate me more because I’m a gay conservative,” he said in an interview on Sky News at the time.
“I’m not a homophobe. I love gay men. You can’t call me a homophobe just because I’m opposed to same-sex marriage.”
His role in disrupting the drag performer event at the weekend attracted similarly savage criticism and abuse from those purporting to represent the LGBTI community and others on social media...
Increasing the pressure on Gavin was the shitty attitude of so-called "conservatives." As usual they cucked and ran, while some of them even sided with the "woke" Twitter mobs, joining in the attack on Gavin's club and its brave stand against gay supremacism:
"The member for the federal seat of Brisbane, Trevor Evans, labelled club members “ratbags”, while Brisbane Liberal National Party councillor Vicki Howard said their actions were “appalling”.
The "Drag Queen Story Time" that Gavin was protesting is run by Brisbane City Council in partnership with the gay supremacist group Rainbow Families Queensland. Brisbane City council is actually controlled by the Liberal National Party. This means that these young Christians and traditionalists were in fact opposing a "conservative"-sponsored event!
Members of the UQ Liberal National Club stormed the event at the Brisbane Square library on Sunday, announcing on the club’s Facebook page that the council should be ashamed for sponsoring the reading.
“What people do behind the closed doors of a nightclub is their business, but this event is designed to indoctrinate and sexualise young children. Our kids deserve better than this!” the club’s Facebook statement said.
In defence of its actions, it said: “We stayed outside the room in which it was being held, waited until it was over to make our point, did not respond to the insults which were hurled at us, and left when directed by security.”
Facebook responded to this legitimate protest with yet more unthinking censorship of the true conservatives here. The Facebook page of Gavin's club was taken down on Monday afternoon, just hours after Gavin's tragic death. Classy touch, Mr. Zuckerburg!
