Yup, it looks like the Boomer Boogaloo didn't happen after all. Apparently thousands of armed, pro-gun demonstrators were able to peacefully protest in Richmond, Virginia, and defy the state's anti-gun Governor despite widespread expectations of violence that were hyped up by the mainstream media.
As reported by The Wall Street Journal:
The rally was organized by the gun-rights group Virginia Citizens Defense League for Lobby Day, an annual event on Martin Luther King Jr. Day when residents and groups press legislators on issues. The sea of people, including many from out of state, came in response to state Democrats’ plans to pass a slate of gun-control bills.
“I’m here to stand with the people of Virginia to defend the Second Amendment,” said David Treibs, a 55-year-old from Texas, who had an AR-style pistol slung over his shoulder. He planned to stay outside the restricted area.
“I like the turnout, I hope 100,000 people show up,” he said. “The intent is to change the mind of the governor and those folks. I’m afraid it’s not going to work, but it’s certainly what we’re hoping for.”
Before the event an atmosphere of impending violence had been created by Virginia's Democratic Governor Ralph Northam, who had declared a state of emergency, and the Leftist establishment press.
Many commentators had also voiced concerns that antifa or Deep State agents would infiltrate the event and cause violence or extreme behaviour in order to discredit the pro-gun lobby.
Others predicted that the event would become a Second Charlottesville or worse, but instead there were no serious incidents.

The demonstration was a major boost to the growing pro-gun movement in Virginia, which has seen the majority of the state's counties declare themselves "gun sanctuaries."
There were isolated and unsuccessful attempts by glow-in-the-darks to cause trouble but these were soon snuffed out.

Possibly the sight of thousands of upstanding citizens with guns in their hands had a sobering effect on many bad actors. which -- guess what -- is the very reason that America has the Second Amendment in the first place.
