U.S. GUN DEBATE NOW OVER AFTER MAN WITH GUN PREVENTS MASSACRE

Hero Blaine
The long-running US gun debate over whether Americans should be allowed to have guns or not has finally been settled after a good guy with a gun stopped a maniac from carrying out a massacre at a school in Maryland.

The hero has been named as 34-year-old Blaine Gaskill, a St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Deputy and  school security officer.

According to reports, Blaine was the first law enforcer to engage the would-be mass murderer, exchanging fire with the the assailant only seconds after he had injured a 16-year-old female student and a 14-year-old male student.

Blaine's speedy response undoubtedly saved the lives of the students under attack.

During the incident, in which other law enforcement officers also joined, the 17-year-old assailant, believed to be a student at the school, was shot dead, possibly by Blaine or by one of the other officers. Whose bullet exactly stopped the would-be killer will be determined later.

But what is undeniable from this is that the greater the number of reliable people legally armed, the quicker it will be to prevent the kind of massacres that this killer intended to commit.

Banning guns, as Leftists advocate, would simply extend the average response times to such attacks and thus greatly raise the death tolls.
