ROYAL "GIBSMEDAT" BILL SOARS JUST WEEKS AFTER MEGHAN JOINS FAMILY

The second Black Disney Princess!

A few years ago, the Royal Family had to be on their best behaviour to justify the enormous expense of their upkeep. They did this by continuously attending various events, waving to tourists, and not killing too many wild animals (or footmen).

One thing they certainly couldn't have got away with is almost doubling their income from the public purse. But that was before Harry met Meghan and the two became engaged.

What an ace up the sleeve she has turned out to be!

Now that one of the members of the Royal Family is officially "Black," it is simply a lot harder for press and politicians to criticise the Royals, or say anything negative about them at all. I mean, you wouldn't want to be called a "racist" now, would you?

So, it is no surprise that just a few weeks after the Royals accepted their first Black member, the "gibsmedat" bill has soared, with an ad hoc committee of MPs waving through a massive rise in Royal incomes from 15% to 25% of the Crown Estates.

As reported by the Independent:
"A tiny, temporary committee of MPs set up explicitly to consider doubling the publicly funded income of the Royal Family took thirteen minutes to decide that, yes, the Royal Family should indeed have its income doubled...Only the Scottish National Party, via its representatives Tommy Sheppard and George Kerevan objected to the decision."
The Crown Estates for those who don't know is the property belonging to the Royal Family that they handed over to the UK government to manage in order to reduce criticism of their excessive wealth at a time when most of society was extremely poor but just getting the vote.

The deal was that a portion of the revenue of the Crown Estates would be given to support the upkeep of the Royal Family, with the rate set at 15% to prevent a rise in republican sentiment.

Now thanks to "Meghan privilege" the Royal Family can get away with a massive  pay rise of tens of millions, with hardly a murmur of criticism. In 2016 the Queen's annual expenditure was almost £42 million, much of which was spent on handbags and treats for corgis.

Much of the new money, which will exceed hundreds of millions of pounds over the next few years, will be used to refurbish Buckingham Palace, which is practically falling down.

The job that is expected to cost £360 million pounds. Renovations are due to begin in April, and will involve replacing around 100 miles of electrical cabling, 30 miles of water pipes, 6,500 electrical sockets, 5,000 light fitting and 2,500 radiators.

But once the job is finished the extra money will continue to roll in, allowing Meghan and other members of the Royal Family to indulge in plenty of bling as well.

Britain's monarchy has truly entered a golden age on a par with the great monarchies of Africa like Wakanda and Zamunda.

Maybe you have to have a certain kind of sense of humor for such jokes.

But as for a public, racial and trans- Atlantic relations thing- it's an Edsel.

and is it allowed for Americans to get Her Majesties Royal seal on thier products too?
