CNN UNWITTINGLY DECLARES WAR ON /POL/

CNN just walked off a very high cliff thinking it was very low kerb.

That seems to be the consensus after the cable news company tracked down and intimidated an innocent shitposter, simply because he had the cheek to make the famous wrestling meme where President Trump BTFOs CNN.

The media company, known for its leftist bias and aging audience, had been hurting badly in recent days, following revelations by undercover reporter James O'Keefe and his team that proved CNN had been knowingly pursuing a fake news agenda over Trump's alleged ties to Russia, mainly for ratings and political ends.

When Trump celebrated the collapse of this narrative by retweeting the shitposter's meme, the humiliated news network decided to lash out by tracking this private citizen down and punishing him. They soon connected the meme to a Reddit account with the handle HanAssholeSolo and then found out his real name, address, and email address.

After what appears to be an exchange of emails with CNN reporter Andrew Kaczynski and a threat to dox him by publishing his home address so antifa could go round and physically attack him, the shitposter buckled and deleted his posts on a section of Reddit called /The_Donald. These included other spicy memes, including one highlighting the large number of Jews working at CNN and some counter-jihadi stuff. Terrified of CNN ruining his life he also issued a grovelling apology:
"I would also like to apologize for the posts made that were racist, bigoted, and anti-semitic. I am in no way this kind of person, I love and accept people of all walks of life and have done so for my entire life. I am not the person that the media portrays me to be in real life, I was trolling and posting things to get a reaction from the subs on reddit and never meant any of the hateful things I said in those posts."

Kaczynski then ran an insufferably smug story wallowing in the man's fear, and reserving the right to dox him at some future time if deemed necessary.
"CNN is not publishing HanAssholeSolo's name because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse by saying he has taken down all his offending posts, and because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again. In addition, he said his statement could serve as an example to others not to do the same. CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change."
But while CNN thought they were dealing with a weak, frightened, and isolated individual, others noticed their heavy-handed and arrogant treatment, and saw the attack on this one man as an attack on all who would express themselves freely on the internet. Prominent members of the Alt-Right and Alt-Lite, joined by Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, took to social media to drive home their criticisms of CNN. Assange tweeted:

This soon drove the Twitter hashtag #CNNBlackmail to the top of trending items.

This was clearly not the result that Kaczynski and CNN wanted. But clearly their attack on HanAssholeSolo was rightly recognized as an attack on shitposters everywhere. As a consequence they now face the very real possibility of the global shitposting collective of /pol/, Reddit, 4chan, the Knights of Kekistan, and many other Alt-Right groups going to war with them.

Let's see what is dug up on Kaczynski and CNN's CEO Jeff Zucker in the coming days. It should be interesting.

Kaczynski - Ask not for whom the /pol/ tolls, it tolls for thee.
